More things in heaven and on earth

Yesterday, while surfing for the first time in the gay Yahoo! chat rooms (more on that later), I happened to check out a guy's profile in the moment before he logged out. It was pretty bare, except for a link to a weblog. Always interested in fellow bloggers, I checked it out. You should too.

This is easily the most intersting weblog I'd ever pulled out of the info line of some random guy online. His style is economic and articulate, and radically different from mine. I use word phonetics and associations to try to build fresh, sumptuous, relatable images, sometimes to the point of resembling a grammatical Baz Luhrmann film. This writer deals in graceful latticework: he sketches a basic thought or scenario for the reader to contextualize in his/her own way.

Any blogger that ends each entry with a cipher invites intrigue, and the gay community needs more intriguing guys like this.

Jason, I don't realize how praise-starved I am until someone says something nice about me or my work. Thanks for your kind remarks. I'd undoubtedly have more to say ordinarily, but I've just come in from pulling an all-nighter at work and I'm less than perfectly perky.

Oh, I do have a better profile than the one at Yahoo!. It's at Gay.Com, where once again I go by Exoteric. I sometimes put on a cam show there or on Yahoo!, by the way. Everybody's got to have a lighter side. :-)

I believe rather than a cipher, he is simply posting stock symbols.

"Does every speculation seek a share in the divine" followed by a list of comma seperated symbols...

But I'm not altogether sure why. I can't be entirely bothered to research the closing prices of each symbol on each day of their respective posts.

    Have fun !
