Ill communication

Simba's sick again. It's possibly some kind of upper-resparatory thing, but Simba keeps washing the right side of his face and sneezing in fits. I've decided he goes to the vet tomorrow. I've never actually felt a fever in a cat, but Simba's definately got one. He's just lazing around, just trying not to disturb whatever's making him sneeze. He hasn't gone outside since early yesterday. He is eating though, albeit with the same slowness.

I did some internet searching and it could be a few things. One sound suspiciously dead on though:

Chlamydia is a bacteria-like organism that inhabits mucous membranes, primarily the tissues around the eyes (conjunctiva). Chlamydia can cause a variety of clinical syndromes similar to those caused by viruses and other organisms. The most common symptom is conjunctivitis, which (unlike that caused by FHV) is generally seen in one eye at first, then spreading to both eyes. Chlamydia can also cause rhinitis, fever, pneumonia, and diarrhea.
He's had a bad cold before, and he was plenty cranky then, but I'm a little worried cuz he's getting up there in years and even the usual sicknesses feel more urgent. I'm wondering if maybe it's time to start keeping him indoors. God...what a nightmare that'd be. He'd be miserable and would exact loud revenge at ever turn. :-)

I'd need to find a bigger place perhaps. My cozy bachelor's shoebox apartment is a significant cut in benefits from his big empty field in Cupertino.

I'm doing fairly well. Work was really kicking my ass for a while - I'd taken on a big project with a very short delivery time and I had to work really quickly to pull it off, and I did. I've begun a second project, which has been slow getting started. I've been doing a lot of writing at work and I've noticed when the workwriting goes up, the blogging goes down. I was all town crier about Katrina, but Rita's barely registered on my radar.
