Where Do You Want To Not Be Able To Get To Today?
I came across this just now while looking for some photo material for the site. I took this last December at the 32nd Street NRQW subway station in Manhattan. This is a MetroCard terminal - the device that takes your money and spits out a magnetic-stripped card that you swipe through the turnstyle in order to get to the train. No MetroCard no subway - no viable operating system, no MetroCard.
Transit grinds to a halt, the city is paralyzed, millions stranded, the population in chaos...domestic terrorism? Natural disaster? Osama Bin Laden? King Kong?
